Hi folks,
During the last week of November 2010 I will have a great pleasure of touring Russia as a special guest at the "2010 International Jazz Festival" - "Jazz po-rostovsky" in Rostov-on-Don.
This year I will play with virtuoso pianist Andrej Quint (Spain, Germany) and his "Cologne Syndicate band".
Also, as usual, I completely open for clinics and private lessons during the time in Rostov. Contact me through e-mail and will set-up all details.

I will be traveling to a number of cities in Russia in November with Mixolegion group- UofL's International Quintet. We have been invited to perform at the following:
- November 20 - Yaroslavl at the Jazz Center.
- November 21 - Dubna at the 7th international "MuzEnergo" festival with "Kaulakau" (Spain), "Interstellar Overdrive Trio" (France), "SymFusion Orchestra" (Moscow, Russia).
- November 22 - Kimry at the "MuzEnergo" festival with Nick Kulikov Quartet (Arkhangelsk/Moscow, Russia), Youlia Malikova's "Magnit" (Moscow, Russia), Natalia Blinova's "Priot" ensemble (Moscow, Russia). Visit www.muzenergo.ru for information the festivals in Dubna and Kimry.
- November 23, 24 - Moscow at a local club, TBA
- November 25 - 28 - Rostov-on-Don (and region) at the "International Jazz Festival 2009″.
In addition, Mike Tracy - saxophonist, Professor of Music, Director of the Jamey Aebersold Jazz Studies Program will be conducting master classes in Dubna and Kimry as well as in Rostov at the "Taganrog College of Arts" and The Rostov State Conservatoire (Academy) Named after S.V. Rachmaninov.

I'm in US now (Jazz School of Music, University of Louisville). That was my longtime dream, to relocate to US. I moved to Louisville, KY only one week ago to pursue my dream of playing the jazz.

Along with some of the Russian's finest jazz musicians, Alim Nastaev Trio reached the final "1-st Usadba Jazz Competition 2008" in Moscow (June, 12).

Jazz Fest 2008 in Sumy (Ukraine)

Had a great gig with Tanya Balakirski last night in Sumy (Ukraine). We played some of Joni Mitchell songs and I played solo too. There were a lot of people out and they were incredibly polite and attentive. Also I met some great musicians there (see fotos below). Everyone sounded great and it was just a lot of fun.

Along with some of the world's finest young jazz musicians Alim Nastaev Trio reached the semifinals "Bucharest International Jazz Competition 2007" in Romania (5-14 May).
